Mihai Godea: A ‘technical solution’ is not enough to elect President

The first vice president of the PLDM Mihai Godea after Friday’s sitting of the Parliament said the ‘technical solution’ for electing the head of state to which the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin referred is a simple mathematical calculation. “42 + 32 is 74 (votes), which is technically the necessary number of votes needed to elect the President. I don’t think that a technical solution is enough,” said Mihai Godea. According to him, if cooperation in the problem of electing the head of state without forming an alliance is possible, cooperation between the Alliance for European Integration and the Opposition is also possible. “We already got used to Mister Voronin’s statements. It is in the Communist Party’s interest to make suppositions,” said the first vice president of the PLDM. The head of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin Friday told the journalists that his party is not bothered to remain in the Opposition. Moreover, in order to overcome the political crisis, the PCRM is ready to technically vote for the candidate for the presidency and wants nothing instead.
