President Igor Dodon has announced the organization of a large-scale program on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II under his aegis. He also said that the Memorial Complex “Eternity” in Chisinau will be reconstructed with the Government’s support, IPN reports.
On January 16, Igor Dodon convened the first meeting of the working group responsible for the organization and holding of the events that will be staged to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. There was examined the timetable of events that will involve ministries and public organizations. There will be published books and mounted thematic exhibitions, a documentary film festival and other events.
“In this connection, I call on all the country’s citizens, political forces and public organizations, regardless of their preferences, to combine forces and stage a common Victory March in Chisinau on May 9, which would be followed by a festive concert and a grandiose fireworks display,” President Dodon posted on Facebook.
In the meeting, it was noted that the jubilee Victory Day Parade that will take place in Moscow’s Red Square will involve the guard of honor of Moldova. On the invitation of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Igor Dodon will also take part in this festive event.
