The medieval Tatar bath, the largest of the three urban baths discovered in Orheiul Vechi, has been restored, and the Defensive Wall has been reconstructed based on historical documents, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, IPN reports.
Additionally, a modern lighting system has been installed along the access route to the Butuceni Promontory, and a multifunctional conference center has been constructed, which will also serve as the administrative block of the Reserve.
According to Vladimir Bolea, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, these works enhance the national heritage and the tourism potential of the region.
“Restoring historically significant landmarks, such as the medieval Tatar bath and the Defensive Wall, reflects respect for our culture and traditions. This not only strengthens our identity but also transforms Orheiul Vechi into a tourist hub of national and international interest”, the official stated.
The restoration and development works were carried out as part of a project implemented by the Central Regional Development Agency.
