The Public Services Agency said the admission of candidates for taking driving tests and obtaining a driver’s license as of April 1 will be based on prior arrangement. To increase the examination capacity of the competent local subdivisions and fluidize the assessment process, the number of practical and theoretical sessions, of persons who can be examined during one day and of places for urgent appointments was increased, IPN reports.

The candidates can schedule a meeting to take the exam on www.asp.gov.md, on the phone numbers indicated in the Useful Information/Local Subdivisions section or through the Call Center on 14909. The arrangement is open for a period of three months. The registration is annulled if the person does not come to the exam at the set hour and date and a new arrangement is thus needed.

The urgent appointments at the Driver Qualification Section of Chisinau municipality are made exclusively online. At the other local subdivisions, the candidates can schedule an appointment by phone or directly at the office.

The theoretical test is free, while the practical test costs 200 lei. An exam can be taken by an urgent appointment for 300 lei.

The positive result at the theoretical test is valid for a year.
