Mayoralty withdraws licenses of businessmen who do not clean the contiguous territory
Mayoralty of municipality Chisinau will withdraw the licenses of businessmen of municipality who do not clean the contiguous territory, the interim mayor of capital, Vasile Ursu, announced during the operative meeting.
The head of Dwelling and Fitting Department, Mihai Solcan, mentioned during the meeting that businessmen are not frightened of the fines applied for not cleaning the contiguous territory. He also said that the first fine of 20 lei and the second of 100 lei are too small in order to determine them to comply with the requirements of mayoralty.
Chairman of Association Promo-Lex, jurist Ion Manole, said that there is no legislative framework forcing businessmen to get involved in cleaning work. He mentioned that cleaning the contiguous territories of those of businessmen is the responsibility of local authorities, which get, in this sense, taxes from citizens and businessmen.
According to chairman of Chisinau Territorial Ecologist Organization of Moldova, Vladimir Garaba, municipal services have to be financed in order to face the requirements, and the mayoralty does not have to put the responsibility on businessmen, who pay taxes, but do not have technique, people, and time to deal with cleaning.
In this context, the chairman of the Employers Association of Public Services, Mihai Severovan, a said that mayoralty does not have to force the businessmen, and those who do not want to clean the contiguous territories to be convened, as, via dialogue, to be convinced of the necessity to contribute to city’s cleaning.
