The mayor of Criuleni town Vitalie Onishchuk and three district councilors defected from the Communist Party (PCRM) to the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). The announcement was made in a meeting held to constitute the Association of Liberal-Democratic Teaches of Criuleni district, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the PLDM.
Vitalie Onishchuk said he took the decision to leave the PCRM and to joint the PLDM because the latter is a politically powerful party that promotes the European course.
The mayor of Criuleni also said that together with the Liberal-Democratic team, he will make effort to modernize the town and to fulfill the promises made to the voters.
