Materials for postal voting on their way to voters

The materials for voting by post in the October 20 elections are on their way to voters who had preregistered and applied for a postal vote, IPN reports.

The Central Election Commission sent the parcels to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will ensure their dispatch by diplomatic mail to the three polling stations set up for this purpose. Subsequently, the members of the electoral offices of polling stations will prepare the envelopes and will send them through local postal services to voters in the six countries where postal voting is piloted: the U.S., Canada, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Finland.

As many as 5,427 ballots were printed for postal voting, by 1,809 ballots each for the three electoral exercises - two rounds of the presidential election and the constitutional referendum. For these voters, the ballots for the runoff vote come together with those for the first round of voting and the referendum. The mention “Runoff” is made in this ballot, which is blue and includes all the candidates who contend in the first round of voting.
