Weightlifter Marin Robu set a new personal record in clean and jerk at the national weightlifting championships. He lifted 200 kg and won the competition in the 89 kg weight class with a total of 350 kg, IPN reports.

In the other categories, the winners are: Iulian Betca (55 kg), Daniel Lungu (61 kg), Cristian Secrieru (67 kg), Victor Moroșanu (73 kg), Vlad Istrati (81 kg), Vasile Costiuc (96 kg), Tudor Ciobanu (109 kg), and Artiom Gritsenko (+109 kg).

Tudor Ciobanu’s sister Tatiana Ciobanu ranked first in the 64 kg class. In the women’s competition, the other winners are: Ecaterina Grabucea (45 kg), Teodora-Luminița Hîncu (49 kg), Diana Cebotaru (55 kg), Maria Mitioglo (59 kg), Alexandrina Cebotaru (71 kg), Natalia Prishchepa (76 kg), and Elena Erighina-Cîlcic (81 kg).

The weightlifters from Chisinau won most of the medals among men. Among women, the largest number of medals went to the team from Comrat.
