The school of the future without teacher is a null experiment. At the same time, the modern teacher should be not only a person who informs, but also a real guide and moderator for the students. These are some of the ideas presented by Doctor of Pedagogy Mariana Marin in her book “School without teacher?...”, which was launched in Chisinau on April 22. In her book, Mariana Marin analyzes also the conception of lessons without teacher, IPN reports.
According to the author, the risk for the school to remain in the future without teachers is fueled also by the financial situation of the teachers who often leave the education institutions because they are dissatisfied with the conditions there. The book also speaks about another risk that can leave the schools without teachers. This is the fact that some of the teachers regard the school as an obligation, not as a vocation.
Mariana Marin said the role of the teacher who wants to know everything and to compete with a website like the Google is no longer fashionable. The teacher should be only a friend, a facilitator, a support. This book is intended not only for teachers, but also for parents. But it could become dangerous for parents as they could find more defects in teachers after reading it and could be more critical of these.
The book “School without teacher?...” was launched within the fifth national conference “Teachers’ associative traditions”. Mariana Marin is a university professor, author of school curricula and textbooks and of 110 scientific, scientific-methodological and auxiliary teaching publications.
