After a new round of negotiations on the formation of a government coalition with the Liberals failed, the Democratic leader Marian Lupu called on the Liberal-Democrats to agree to form a coalition between the PLDM and PDM only, IPN reports.

Marian Lupu made such statements before the January 21 Parliament sitting, saying that no compromise was reached in the new round of talks held at noon. He called upon the Liberal-Democrats to assume governance together with the Democrats.
