A man aged 50 from the municipality of Chisinau, who sexually abused his daughter and the daughter of acquaintances of his, was sentenced to 25 years in jail. According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, the man started to abuse his daughter in 1998, when the girl was seven, IPN reports.
The man abused his daughter during ten years in the house in which they lived. When the girl was 17, she gave up and caused bodily injuries to herself. She told her mother about the horrors she experienced, but the woman didn’t denounce the man to the police even if she was beaten by him. The man told her he will kill himself if she denounced him. In the autumn of 2021, the daughter filed a complaint against her father after she found out that he abused another victim. The culprit didn’t admit his guilt.
As regards the second victim, this began to be abused in 2018, when the man lived alone already. The man lured the 14-year-old daughter of his acquaintances and made her have sex with him. The abuse continued until he was arrested at the end of last November.
The Buiucani Court decided that the culprit should pay 200,000 lei in respect of non-pecuniary damage to the victims. The sentence is not yet final.
