A 44-year-old man from Anenii Noi district was sentenced to 25 years behind bars for raping his minor daughter ten years ago and last summer also his granddaughter younger than two, IPN reports.

The man was accused of sexually assaulting his daughter who didn’t turn 14 while at his home in 2011-2012. Also, in July 2022, the man went to visit his daughter whom he sexually abused ten years ago. She is married and has a two-year-old daughter. As the man was inebriated and said that he had a quarrel with his current wife, he asked to stay at his daughter’s house for the night. At night, he sexually abused the little girl, leaving her covered in blood on the floor. Waking up when hearing the child crying, the woman called the police and an ambulance, seeking help from neighbors.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man refused to make depositions. The sentence passed by the Anenii Noi Court is not yet final and can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
