A 42-year-old man from Chisinau shot a person while hunting illegally on the outskirts of Trușeni commune. The poacher was detained for 72 hours on suspicion of murder, IPN reports.
Police officers of the Buiucani Inspectorate were alerted shortly after midnight by the suspect, who reported that he had shot a man.
At the scene, the police established that the suspect together with the victim, a 56-year-old man, were hunting illegally outside the built-up area of Trușeni. The suspect said that he fired a shot and then realized that the victim was in that area. The man died on the spot, the General Police Inspectorate said.
The police seized the weapon that was legally owned by the suspect and started a criminal case for murder. The investigation goes on.
