A man was sentenced to 9 years in prison for drug trafficking, but also for threatening police employees with a gun and trying to steal a car, IPN reports.

According to the police, in April 2024, the 36-year-old man threatened two police officers with a gun to prevent his detention. Subsequently, he tried to steal a car, threatening the driver with a gun.

The man was suspected of purchasing and distributing narcotic substances. As part of the investigation, significant quantities of drugs and equipment used to package and sell them were seized, prosecutors say.

In addition to the prison sentence, the man was banned from holding positions and working in the field of circulation of medicines and narcotic substances for a period of 5 years.
