A 37-year-old man was shot in the street in Comrat town on June 6. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the man was hurt by a local with whom he was in hostile relations. The 29-year-old suspect ran away and is now looked for by the police, IPN reports.

The incident happened near a café in Comrat. At the scene, the police found a hunter’s gun IJ, 12 mm caliber, two bullets and a mobile phone.

The 37-year-old man from Comrat suffered abdomen and head wounds and was hospitalized. The police are taking measures to identify the whereabouts of the suspect and arrest him. A criminal case over murder attempt was started against him.

The press in Gagauzia reported that the victim earlier headed the democratic group on the Comrat Municipal Council.
