The 35-year-old man from Cahul who was hospitalized together with his children as a result of serious poisoning died at “Saint Trinity” Hospital in Chisinau in the evening of April 14. His daughter aged four died shortly after being hospitalized on April 12.
Contacted by IPN, spokeswoman for “Saint Trinity” Hospital Tatiana Gumene said the medical tests showed the man was poisoned by anti-parasitic veterinary preparations intended for large domestic animals.
Doctors said the six-year-old boy who was admitted to the Mother and Child Institute in Chisinau feels better.
Earlier this week, the four-year-old girl from Cahul district died, while her brother aged six and their father were rushed to the hospital in a serious state. Initially, it was rumored that the three were poisoned by the fresh vegetables they ate. A criminal case was started to determine all the circumstances of this case.
