A man from Ialoveni district was sentenced to 13 years in prison for killing with a stone a man living in the same village, with whom he had consumed alcohol. Another guest, who had fallen asleep in his house, was robbed by the convict of the money from his pocket and the phone, IPN reports.

The Prosecutor General's Office states in a press release that the host and the guest drank together. A spontaneous conflict caused them to start a fight. The host struck his guest with his fists and feet. The victim left the house, but the host caught up with him in the street and hit him with a piece of stone. The blow proved fatal.

Another part of the sentence refers to theft. The man stole the phone and 1500 lei from the guest who was sleeping in his house.

The man will serve his sentence in a closed type of penitentiary. Also, he was ordered to pay over 15 thousand lei legal costs.
