Man and woman die from carbon monoxide poisoning

A man and a woman, both aged 47, lost their lives in fires caused by smoldering cigarettes on December 14. Diana Turcan, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the first case happened in a house in Cimislia town. The fire destroyed two rooms. After extinguishing it, the firefighters found the man’s body. In Vinogradovca village of Taraclia district, the flames destroyed a part of the house. The woman was found dead in one of the rooms. The firefighters said that in both of the cases, the house owners fell asleep with the cigarettes smoldering. Four young men needed medical care on the night of December 15 after they got poisoned with carbon monoxide emitted by the stove in a house
