A 70-year-old man was sentenced to six years and six months in jail for alleged domestic violence. According to prosecutors, the old man attacked his son, causing serious bodily injuries to him, IPN reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It happened on the night of August 8, 2021 when the man was at his domicile in a suburban settlement of the municipality of Chisinau. As a result of a quarrel, the man stabbed his son in the chest, endangering his life.

The old man denies any wrongdoing. Until a final sentence is given, he cannot leave the Republic of Moldova.
