55.79% of the voters in Chișinău voted for the amendment of the Constitution to allow Moldova's accession to the European Union.

The law will be considered adopted if the majority of citizens participating in the referendum vote in favor.

After processing 76% of the total protocols, the preliminary results of the referendum show a difference of approximately 100,000 votes between the "Yes" and "No" options, in favor of "No," but political commentators believe the balance could be tipped by votes from the diaspora.
