The candidate for President of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu described the October 30 vote as a victory against lie and stealing. “This victory is your merit. I warmly thank all those who voted in elections yesterday – women, men, young and elderly people, those who are at home and abroad. The elections showed very clearly that we have a cardboard government,” Maia Sandu said in a news conference on October 31, IPN reports.

Maia Sandu said she respects democracy and believes that the pluralism of opinion is very important. “In the Republic of Moldova, there is place for parties of the right and for parties of the left, for people with liberal views and with Socialist options. It is now important to mobilize in order to ensure a really democratic environment for all the political forces,” she stated.

According to Maia Sandu, her opponent said he wants to be the President of those with views of the left, but she will be the President of all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. She noted that Igor Dodon shared the legal schemes with Democratic Vlad Plahotniuc and never fought oligarchy. She called on the people to mobilize and make effort to convince the others to join in not for the future of Dodon and Plahotniuc, but for everyone’s future.

Leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase told the same news conference that Maia Sandu will be the President of everyone, regardless of the people’s view and place of stay.

Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Viorel Cibotaru said there is only one candidate who can ensure possibilities for developing the country and this is Maia Sandu and much greater mobilization is needed for her to win the runoff presidential elections.

People of art and representatives of the local public authorities subscribed to the mobilization message. They called on the people to take an active part in the runoff vote in two weeks and to vote Maia Sandu President.
