Maia Sandu signs decree by which first Parliament sitting is called for July 26

President Maia Sandu on July 23 signed the decree to convoke the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova of the eleventh legislature. The first sitting will be held on July 26, starting at 10am, IPN reports.

The administrative and working bodies of Parliament are to be elected and a new Government is to be formed. “There are many and complex problems and we do not have time to lose. I hope the new Parliament will manage to swiftly regain the citizens’ confidence in this important institution by correct and courageous decisions that will stop corruption and will improve the people’s living standards,” said President Maia Sandu.

The Constitutional Court on July 23 validated the July 11 snap parliamentary elections and the seats of the elected MPs.
