Poland is a reliable partner country of the Republic of Moldova, a supporter of its European approach, an important source of stability and security, of economic growth and modernization at regional level, President Maia Sandu stated after a meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Elżbieta Witek in Warsaw, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, the sides discussed the cooperation on subjects of common interest, including the parliamentary dimension, and the importance of strengthening the high-level political dialogue. President Sandu thanked for the support offered by the Republic of Poland during many years to assist the Republic of Moldova in the modernization process, especially in the development of local communists, and voiced hope that these programs will be extended.

The meeting of President Maia Sandu and Marshal Elżbieta Witek forms part of the visit of the President’s program to Warsaw. Maia Sandu is paying an official visit to Poland at the invitation of her Polish counterpart.
