The Party of Action and Solidarity’s presidential election candidate Maia Sandu came with a message to the citizens after the domestic polling stations closed. She thanked all the citizens who went out to vote and urged voters of the diaspora to go to the polls if they have not yet done it, IPN reports.
"I thank all the people who participated in the ballot. I especially thank the people of Chisinau, who participated in large numbers. I also thank the young people who participated in record numbers. I thank the citizens of the diaspora, who were exceptional," said Maia Sandu.
The candidate mentioned voter Constantin Cojocari, who at the age of 105 went from Chisinau to his hometown to vote.
Maia Sandu called on the staff of polling stations to carefully count the votes.
