MAE and PNL negotiate participation on common list with a third party
The European Action Movement (MAE) and the National Liberal Party (PNL) are in talks with the Ecologist “Green Alliance” Party in a bid to persuade the greens to join their common party list in the 2009 parliamentary elections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a statement from the press service of the MAE-PNL Coordination Council, “a first round of discussions with the Ecologists' Party has already taken place”.
“The parties will resume talks after having discussed independently the reciprocal offers made at this first round of negotiations”.
At the same time, the MAE-PNL Coordination Council discussed at its first meeting on January 13, the progress of negotiations with other political parties, the make-up of the central and local staffs, the preparation of the electoral list, etc.
MAE and PNL announced publicly the intention to participate together in the 2009 legislative elections in early November last year.
