The Government will allocate 88,000 lei from its reserve fund to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family for providing lump sums to civilians affected by the April 7, 2009 events, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the Government.

The list of recipients was presented by the commission for identifying civilians and employees of the law enforcement bodies who were affected by those events.

In 2012- 2013, lump sums were given to 244 civilians and employees of the law enforcement bodies. The last decision to this effect was adopted in April 2013. Since then there were received 22 applications – 21 from civilians and one from a police officer. Twenty-one applications were accepted, while one application was rejected for the reason that it was accompanied by an incomplete set of documents.

The lump sum payments vary between 3,000 and 7,000 lei, depending on the severity of the traumas caused to the given persons.
