Foreign and local observers, as well as representatives of the local public administration of Chisinau discussed on Friday, June 8, aspects of the logistics support during elections and the role of the local public administration in this area, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Vladimir Sarban, Secretary of the Chisinau Municipal Council, several long-term observers were attending the meeting: Leia Lakart (US), Masha Janusevic (Serbia), as well as the chairman of the League for Defence of Human Rights, Paul Strutzescu, and the secretaries of local town halls and district offices from the municipal area. The participants mentioned several irregularities and difficulties noticed during the June 3 elections, and talked about their future activity. Of all the 581,419 citizens listed in Chisinau’s voter rolls, only 219,802 participated in the first round voting.
