Local authorities allocate 1 million lei for securing Chisinau of homeless dogs
Local public authorities of the capital will allot over 1 million lei for solving the problem of homeless dogs in the municipality. The Commission for Communal Management and Ecology of Chisinau Municipal Council approved on Tuesday, 2 May, a decision project on providing the resources for maintaining and repairing the common objects for 2006.
According to the decision project, from 1.8 million lei, the biggest part - 1,152 million lei – will be allotted for catching homeless dogs and for collecting the bodies of dead animals. The works will be done by the Service „Animal Necropolis” within the Department „Autosalubritate”.
At the same time, for cleaning and repairing public WC there will be allotted 624,000 lei, and for the city’s clock 24,000 lei. As well, the Department „Autosalubritate” will perform these works, which supervises 18 public WC.
The decision draft will be submitted for approval at Chisinau Municipal Council meeting.
