The lovers of the works of Ion Druta are invited to the literary-musical performance “Soiree with longing leaves” at the beginning of next week. In the event, there will be launched two volumes of the series “Ion Druta – Works in 8 Volumes”: volume 7 – “Loneliness of Shepherd” and volume 8 – “Acacia flowers”, IPN reports.
Minister of Culture Monica Babuc told a news conference that the performance is staged on the occasion of the birthday of the writer, who turned 86 on September 3. Ion Druta is expected to give a speech in the event.
The performance is organized based on Ion Druta’s dramatic texts, under the direction of Sandu Cozub. The romantic songs will be performed by such famous artists as Mihai Munteanu and Silvia Goncear, who will be accompanied by the orchestra “Folklore”, conducted by Master Petre Neamtu.
Alexandru Plesca, Diana Onica-Dicusara and Ghenadie Galca, who are actors of the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”, will act as compères and will perform fragments of Ion Druta’s dramas. The event will also involve the winner of the contest “Moldova has talent” Monica Parlici, who will recite “Prayer for parents”.
The performance will take place at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, starting at 5pm. Tickets cost 20 to 50 lei.
