The National Agency for Energy Regulation ANRE has suspended the license of the supplier SRL Rotalin Gaz Trading for a period of 3 months. Its clients will be temporarily taken over by Moldovagaz on grounds of its supplier of last resort status.

According to ANRE, the decision comes after SRL Rotalin Gaz Trading failed to comply with the prescriptions imposed on it last week. In particular, it was ordered not to disrupt supply of natural gas at regulated prices. According to information received from the gas transport operator Vestmoldtransgaz, on October 1 SRL Rotalin Gaz Trading did not submit any report on the actual flow that it wants to inject or effectively withdraw from the system, which confirms the disruption of supply.

The ANRE board also initiated the procedure to sanction Rotalin Gaz Trading.

“The National Agency for Energy Regulation assures the consumers of SRL Rotalin Gaz Trading that gas supply will not be interrupted, as well as that it will implement all the instruments of legal measures to hold the supplier accountable”, the agency said in a press release.
