Liberals suggest coalition formation talks should go public

The Liberal Party is suggesting the negotiations on coalition formation should continue in public for the media to see and for civil society representatives and EU and U.S. mediators to participate in. This should be done to avoid the circulation of untruths, the party said in a press release.

The Liberals say they will take the steps necessary to make this happen.

This comes in reaction to a story published on a news portal which claimed the talks reached a stalemate after the negotiating partners failed to agree on the state's top offices.

The Liberals argue that as long as it hasn't been agreed on how powers should be working in the state, no party may claim any office or portfolio.
