Ivan Tulburi, who was put forward by the Liberal Party, today submitted the file for being registered as a candidate for mayor of Bălți. Viorica Cemîrtan, secretary of the Bălți District Electoral Council, has told IPN that he will be under No. 7 on the ballot if he is registered.
So far, the Bălți District Electoral Council registered the following candidates for mayor of the municipality: Boris Marcoci, of the Party of Action and Solidarity; Ion Starciuc, of the Party “Building Europe at Homer”; Maxim Burduja, of the National Unity Party, and Alexandr Nesterovschi, of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists.
Nicolai Grigorishin, who aims to run independently, applied to be registered on October 15. Former Romanian MP Mihai Rizea, of the Political Party “Noi”, filed the documents for being accepted as a contender on October 18 (as Mihai Cristian as this name is stipulated in a copy of the temporary identity card issued by the Republic of Moldova). The files are being examined.
Snap mayoral elections in the municipality of Bălți will be held on November 21.
