Legal commission against bill to provide concessions to members of first legislature

The bill giving concessions to the signatories of the Declaration of Independence has not been approved by the legal commission for appointments and immunities. Liberal-Democrat lawmaker Tudor Deliu told the press that even so, the bill will be presented in Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The bill was drafted on the occasion of 20 years of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. There are not many living lawmakers who contributed to the creation of the state. This bill grants concessions to them,” Tudor Deliu said in the commission’s meeting. He also said it is proposed that the members of the first Parliament should be buried at the Central Cemetery on Armenesca St, be issued with permits and insignia, benefit from free treatment at health resorts, etc. The legal commission did not support the bill, arguing it was not approved by the Government.
