The Lawyers' Union believes the situation of the Constitutional Court represents "an alarming signal, which, first of all, will divide the society,  will increase uncertainty and will completely undermine trust in the justice system of the Republic of Moldova". The Lawyer's guild expressed their opinion in a press release.

The Lawyers' Union publicly calls for "the reorganization of priorities of the current political decision makers and the preservation of the importance of the equitable, objective and fair rule of law".

According to lawyers, backstage games, which are incompatible with the rule of law, generate countless question marks. "The current reforms in the judicial field, undertaken by the current political elite, have aroused discussions and scenarios among the people and among members of the justice system", says the press release.

Constitutional Court Judge Domnica Manole announced that she filed a request, first thing this morning, for a review of the decision of August 19, regarding the election of the CC president.
