May 10 is a nonworking day for budget-funded employees, but they will work on May 18 instead of this day. The lawmakers also decided to rest, even if it’s Friday and is a workday for them. Deputy Speaker Liliana Palihovici has told IPN that the MPs will work next Saturday for this day, as the budget-funded workers, but there will be held no sitting.
According to Liliana Palihovici, the Parliament’s Standing Bureau decided that the lawmakers will have a nonworking on May 10, taking into account the Government decision. In the last Parliament sitting of May 3, the Bureau’s proposal was accepted by the lawmakers. The next plenary sittings will take place on May 16 and 17, while the agenda will be set by the Standing Bureau one day earlier.
In February, the Government adopted a decision whereby May 10 (Friday) and August 26 (Monday) were declared nonworking day. Employees will work on other days for them. Given the public holidays and the weekend days, in May this year the budget-funded workers have a five-day vacation, from May 9 until May 13 inclusive. At the end of August, the vacation will last for four days, between August 24 and 27.
