“Today, on the last day of the 2019-2020 school year, I, as you, experience contradictory feelings. This is the day when the last bell rings in schools, according to the nice tradition that is tens of years long. Today it is different and the bell rings silently,” Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Șarov stated in a video message posted on Facebook on the occasion of the school year end ceremonies, IPN reports.
The minister noted that even if the pandemic left the schoolyards without joyful children and enthusiastic parents, the bell rings in unison with the beatings of graduates’ hearts and under the tone of the feelings of students and their parents and carries the vibration of the teachers’ burden.
According to Igor Șarov, at the end of the school year the thoughts go to the path covered during the year, in particular the last few months. Even if the location of the school was changed, the education process didn’t stop and the school year ended as it was initially planned. Distance learning could be ensured, even if it wasn’t easy. The minister voiced hope that the coming school year will be better and the COVID-19 pandemic will end in the nearest future.
“I wish you a summer full of positive emotions and new experiences. Enjoy every moment, do everything you do with purpose and meaning. Rest nicely and usefully and accumulate knowledge, unrepeatable feelings and impressions and share them with those around. Trust you own forces and think positive. See you healthy during the new school year,” said Igor Șarov.
