Constituency No. 3: Drochia, Dondușeni, Soroca embraces Drochia town and another 18 localities of Drochia district, 12 localities of Soroca district and two localities of Dondușeni district. The people there will vote at polling places No. 6/1-6/58. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, becomes the winner.

The Democratic Party’s candidate Corneliu Padnevici, MP and a member of the Parliament’s legal commission for appointments and immunities, heads the list of candidates on the ballot. He manages the Drochia local organization and is a member of the National Political Council of the PDM. Corneliu Padnevici is a jurist by profession. Since 2015, he has served as an MP. For January 1, 2017 – December 26, 2018, he declared over 302,000 lei in salary and more than 1.3 million lei earned from selling a building. He also gained over 41,000 lei and €5,000 from other sources. The candidate owns six pieces of farmland, two apartments and a car.

The second place is taken by the Party of Socialists’ candidate Alexandr Lupashkp, an engineer and politologist by profession. He heads the PSRM’s Drochia local organization and is a district councilor in Drochia. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, the candidate declared 5,000 lei salary. His family possesses farmland, a house, an apartment and two cars.

The Shor Party’s candidate Grigore Svecla, a jurist, regional manager at the public association “For Orhei”, is the third on the list. In 2006 – 2017, he worked as a loan officer and loan inspector at BC Eximbank - Gruppo Veneto Banca SA. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, he and his wife declared over 83,000 lei salary and almost 30,000 lei earned from other sources. According to the property statement submitted to the Central Election Commission, the candidate and his family own parts of eight house and of two apartments.

The fourth place is taken by Party of Communists’ candidate  Gennady Morcov. He works as a division head at the  Autonomous Health Center  “Anatolie Manziuc” in Drochia. In 2010-2014, Gennady Morcov served as an MP on behalf of the PCRM. Together with his wife, the candidate declared over 639,000 lei in salary for January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018. The family owns a house and a car.

The candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS Svetlana Conea is under No. 5. She worked as an accountant and senior engineer at the Ministry of Social Insurance in 1971-1977. She also worked at the District Finance Division as an economist on state incomes in 1977-1988. She headed the Union of Cooperatives in 1988-1991 and the Association of Entrepreneurs in 1991-1993. In 1998-2005, she headed the Drochia branch of BC “Banca Socială”. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, she and her husband declared 228,000 lei pensions and the husband’s salary of 12,000 lei, plus almost 6,000 lei other incomes. The family owns farmland, three homes, a garage, a car and other assets.

The Our Party’s candidate Nina Cereteu, a jurist by profession, comes sixth. The 32-year-old candidate is the mayor of Drochia town. She earlier worked as a legal assistant at the law firm “Igor Sheremet” and at the Ministry of Justice. Nina Cereteu heads the Drochia local organization of the PPPN and is a member of the party’s National Council and Executive Bureau. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, she and her husband declared almost 418,000 lei salary. The candidate also declared over 54,000 lei earned from other sources.

The Liberal Party’s candidate Violeta Roșca, a teacher by profession, is under No. 7. She is a district councilor of the PL. For January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018, she and her husband declared over 269,000 lei salary. She also earned over 21,000 lei from teaching activity  and over 37,000 lei from other sources. The family possesses a piece of farmland, a house, an apartment and two cars.
