Constituency No. 48: Transnistrian Region, South includes the towns of Slobozia, Tighina and Tiraspol. The people there will vote at polling places 48/1 to 48/25. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, becomes the winner.

The Party of Socialists’ candidate Vitalii Evtodiev, a constructor-engineer by profession, heads the list of candidates. He serves as a technical expert at the building consultancy company “Savim-Com”, where he is an associate. He is a member of the Party of Socialists. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared almost 204,000 salary revenues, over 1.323 million lei dividends and more than 382,000 lei from the sale of property. The family owns a lot of land, an apartment, a villa, a garage and three cars.

Independent candidate Iurie Apostolaki, a forestry engineer by profession, is under No. 2. He is the manager of the state-run enterprise “Tighina Forestry Company” and served as an MP on behalf of the Liberal Democratic Party. For the last two years, he and his wife declared about 388,000 lei revenues and approximately 29,000 lei interest on bank deposits. He owns two lots of land, a house, a garage, a car and other property.

The Democratic Party’s candidate Mihail Malashevski, a jurist by profession, comes third. He heads the staff of the ministry of foreign affairs and European integration. He has 14 years’ experience of legal and legislative work in Parliament, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and at such international entities as the UNDP and the EU High-Level Advisers’ Mission to Moldova. For the last years, he and his wife declared over 519,000 lei and €12,000 salary. He also earned 61,000 lei allowances. He owns two cars.

The fourth spot on the ballot is taken by independent candidate Viorel Melnic, an economist by profession, is under  No. 4. He teaches at the Agrarian University. Viorel Melnic headed the Customs Service and was deputy minister of economy. For the last years, he and his wife declared over 297,000 lei salary and more than 2 million lei dividends and financial assets. The candidate owns two lots of land and an apartment. He is the founder of an Ltd and owns shares in a joint stock company.

The candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS Ion Iovchev, a teacher by profession, is under No.5. He has served as the principal of the Theoretical Lyceum “Lucian Blaga” of Tiraspol town for over 25 years. He has lived and worked on the left side of the Nistru since 1975. He was awarded the Order of the Republic, the Order of Romania for Faithful Service, the Commander degree, and the Star of Romania Order, the Knight degree. In his property and interests statement, the candidate declared about 334,000 lei salary and his wife’s 33,000 lei pension, but didn’t indicate the period when these were received. He owns a part of an apartment.

Independent candidate Petru Ursu, a jurist by profession, is under No. 6. He works as a lawyer at the law office “Petru Ursu”. For the last two years, he declared 30,000 rubles earned from teaching activities. Together with his wife he received 58,000 lei pension. He owns a part of a lot of land, a part of an apartment and of a house. The candidate owns a car. In 2017 and 2018, the law firm “Petru Ursu” signed legal assistance provision contracts to the value of 66,000 lei with the mayor’s office of Maximovka village.

The Shor Party’s candidate Inna Nazarenko, an economist by profession, takes the seventh spot. For the last two years, she declared over 10,000 lei and 540,000 rubles salary revenues, 18,000 lei earned on her birthday and financial assets of over €2,000.
