The playground at Andrieș Kindergarten in Anenii Noi has been modernized as part of the DAR 1+3 project, together with the Bureau for Relations with Diaspora, the municipality of Anenii Noi and diaspora members, as IOM Moldova joined the inauguration.
According to a press release from IOM Moldova, This playground is more than just a place for recreation; it symbolizes the collective commitment to fostering social cohesion between Ukrainian refugees and local communities.
“IOM is dedicated to promoting migration as a positive and empowering experience for all, with migrants playing a crucial role in the development and enrichment of their home communities”, stated Ester Ruiz de Azua, Chief of Mission IOM Moldova.
“We are very proud to have this well-equipped playground dedicated to inclusive and joyful interactions for both parents and children. Thank you all for your help and contribution”, said Alexandr Mațarin, mayor of Anenii Noi.
The project proposal submitted by the Anenii Noi administration is one of 16 projects awarded under the government program “Diaspora Succeeds at Home DAR 1+3”, which was supported by IOM thanks to the financial support of the U.S. Government.
