Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will attend the opening of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games. In the program “Good Evening” on the national TV channel Moldova 1, the Premier said that within the event, he will meet with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. He will take this occasion to discuss the possibility of resuming Moldova’s wine exports to Russia, IPN reports.

“We received no information during a month. We will make effort to return to the Russian market, but will simultaneously extend the operations into the European Union. I’m optimistic that our wines will find their consumers. It’s important to focus on the quality,” said Iurie Leancă. Russia banned the imports of Moldovan wine last September.
