The Central Election Commission (CEC) on February 15 elected its administration. Iurie Ciocan was voted in as president of the Commission. Until recently, he was the Commission's secretary, Info-Prim Neo reports The voting was secret. Six members of the Commission voted for Iurie Ciocan, while three members – for Igor Vremea. Ştefan Uratu was named vice president. He also polled six votes of nine. The post of secretary will be held by Andrei Volentir. He was voted in by a unanimous vote.
