The charwoman of the Republican Party "Heart of Moldova" Irina Vlah called on "Alternativa" to sign a pact by which the newly created bloc will undertake not to cooperate with the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), IPN reports.
According to Irina Vlah, the initiative comes in the context of the discontent and concerns expressed by citizens, who fear that the PAS could find an ally to stay in power.
"The people seek guarantees that those who impoverished the country and destroyed everything that could be destroyed will no longer hold power. The pact is not about geopolitics, but about a great expectation of society: to get rid of the PAS and the policies that have affected the living standards of the citizens," reads the initiative of the "Heart of Moldova" Party.
In this connection, Irina Vlah addressed an official invitation to sign the pact to the leaders of "Alternativa" bloc and stressed that, through this commitment, the new bloc could provide a clear signal to voters that it will not support the PAS in the future Parliament.
"It is essential to understand all the risks as a result of which the PAS can retain power and to do everything to eliminate or diminish these risks," says Irina Vlah's statement.
By the time the news item was published, "Alternativa" bloc had not provided a response to the appeal made by the "Heart of Moldova" Party.
