IPN News Agency announces the creation of the Supervisory Board, a body established on a voluntary basis at the initiative of the Agency's management. The Board consists of five members with impeccable professional reputations and strong expertise in key areas related to media, thereby contributing to ensuring a high level of professionalism and accountability in the Agency's activities.
The Board members are:
Tatiana Puiu, Country Representative, Freedom House
Ludmila Andronic, Communication Expert, Corporate Director at Efes Vitanta
Violeta Avram, Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Moldova
Ion Bunduchi, Executive Director of APEL
Valeriu Vasilica, Founder of IPN News Agency
The main objective of the Board is to oversee the general activity of the Agency, ensuring a balance between respecting public interest and the economic sustainability of the institution, with the ultimate goal of guaranteeing editorial independence.
In its work, the Board will be guided by the fundamental principles of the rule of law, impartiality, ethics, professional integrity, as well as freedom of expression and accuracy.
Furthermore, the Board has essential responsibilities in monitoring the Agency's activities, approving the development strategy, evaluating periodic reports, and providing consultancy in the process of identifying key managers.
The establishment of this Board emphasizes IPN Agency's commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and remaining a key pillar of integrity in independent media.
