February 1: Approximately three million lei have been secured by the Chisinau City Hall following an auction for the lease rights of non-residential premises. A total of 13 premises were leased, with an annual rental value of 2,835,530 lei.
February 1: The residents of Chisinau are invited to submit public interest projects under the "Civil Budget Chisinau" Program, edition 2025, starting from February 1. February 3: Road traffic in Chisinau moves under normal conditions, and public transport runs according to the schedule on a working day. In connection with Sunday evening’s snowfall, the local authorities inform that the road maintenance company "Exdrupo" spread anti-skid material to prevent the formation of ice on the streets of the capital city and in the suburbs, involving 18 vehicles.
February 3: There are about 52,000 parking spaces in the municipality of Chisinau, 4,000 of which were set up in the last four years. Meanwhile, the number of car owners has grown constantly and the demand exceeds the number of existing parking spaces. This situation generates numerous abuses, such as the unauthorized installation of road signs regarding reserved parking, restriction of other users’ access by installing barriers and chains.
February 3: The tax of 10 lei per month for cleanup in Chisinau municipality remains in force. According to mayor Ion Ceban, the decision approved by the PAS and PSRM councilors does not cancel the tax. "Absolutely nothing has changed in this regard and, even if it something had changed, the tax is charged for the previous year of management. We are not even talking about the current year," the mayor said.
February 3: The changeable weather brings additional risks for pedestrians and drivers. The State Hydrometeorological Service warns that from February 3 at 7pm until February 4 at 10am, ice is expected to form on roads in Chisinau and most of the country. To prevent incidents, Chisinau City Hall recommends residents to use public transportation instead of personal cars.
February 4: Intervention teams of Apă-Canal Chișinău are working to fix the damage caused to the sewerage system on Aerodromului St in the capital city. A reinforced concrete collector sewer installed in 1962 failed and, as a result, a piece of roadway collapsed.
February 4: The municipality has initiated the procurement process for e-ticketing equipment and testing services. Bids can be submitted until March 5. The procurement procedure involves an open local tender. The deadline for requesting clarifications is February 12, at 10:00.
February 5: Chisinau City Hall is analyzing the offer to purchase 13 trolleybuses from Lucerne, Switzerland. Discussions on a possible purchase were held at the invitation of the public transportation company "Verkehrsbetriebe Luzern AG", within a delegation led by Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban.
February 5: The Bic River is to be rehabilitated. The capital's City Hall has signed a contract with an Italian company to provide research and design services for the Bîc River Rehabilitation and Flood Protection Project. The value of the contract for this stage is about 4 million euro.
February 6: Drivers who unlawfully installed access limitation devices or parking barriers to keep a parking space reserved in Chisinau remain without these devices following the intervention of municipal authorities. The raids are being conducted in Ciocana district, but similar actions are taken constantly in other districts as well.

February 7: The project to rehabilitate the sidewalks on Onisifor Ghibu St in Buiucani district of the capital city is underway. The works are carried out on the section between Alba-Iulia and Nicolae Costin streets. The municipality of Chisinau announced that, according to the project, the sidewalks will be completely rehabilitated and parking spaces will be set up.
February 7: The modernization of road infrastructure and the expansion of educational institution buildings were among the projects implemented in the suburbs of the capital last year, with financial support from the Chisinau City Hall. In total, the number of projects reached 120.
February 7: Several illegally placed kiosks in the Rascani sector have been demolished and removed by officials from the Rascani Pretura (local administration) and the Municipal Enterprise for Sectoral Housing Services. February 7: The capital’s authorities have launched works for the reclamation of the temporary landfill in the Ciocana sector and the construction of a new transfer station equipped with a modern waste sorting line. The total value of the project, financed by European funds, exceeds 160 million lei.
February 10: The Chisinau City Hall confirms that it issued permits for the construction of a multifunctional complex on Vasile Alecsandri St, in the place of the former Gaudeamus cinema. Deputy mayor Ilie Ceban said that the documents were issued in accordance with the law. The land and the building had been privately owned for many years.
February 10: The municipal program of financial support for in vitro fertilization will be relaunched on March 1, the head of the Health Division Vladimir Bolocan announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services. "We are starting to sign the agreements for 2025 (with the specialized clinics) so that the program continues from March 1. We continue the good practice we had," said Bolocan.
February 11: There are about 500 transport units abandoned in courtyards of Chisinau, but representatives of the General Urban Mobility Division (GUMD) actually estimate a much higher number. The situation becomes tense because of those who own several vehicles and park them in the yard, arousing the dissatisfaction of neighbors. In order to identify solutions and set up parking lots, including residential ones, the Division suggests assessing the yards and inventorying the transport units.

According to the General Directorate for Housing and Communal Services, snow removal is being carried out both manually and mechanically using specialized equipment.

February 17: About 400 workers daily perform manual cleanup works in the municipality of Chisinau, the head of the General Housing and Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services. According to him, mechanized sanitation works are also carried out, with 24 units being involved in the process.
