The government coalition formed by the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party could last until this April, considers former Prime Minister Ion Sturza. According to him, it’s time to act and form a new coalition consisting of the ACUM Bloc and the Democratic Party. This way, the Chicu Government could be removed in spring, IPN reports.

“There is a unique chance to leave vainglory aside, to separate several vengeful people who remained faithful to Plahotniu and to form an alliance between the PDM and the ACUM Bloc so as to remove the Chicu Government and create infernal conditions in the election campaign of Dodon and he is not elected. The role of the President is not big, but a President who does not have this administrative and political capacity turns into a puppet,” the ex-Premier stated in the program “In Depth” on ProTV Chisinau channel.

According to him, a coalition, algorithm-based government should be formed by distributing the responsibilities. “A political, not technocratic Government. Dodon will stop to exist without Government and without a majority coalition in Parliament. This should happen in April-May,” he noted.

Ion Sturza said the United States will not allow a regime dependent on Russia to strengthen in the region. “A regime that has a dialogue with the Russian Federation and has a civilized behavior will be accepted in the Western line, but a regime that is an extension of the security regime of the Russian Federation in Moldova will not be. If we do not ensure this reconfiguration peacefully, we will have a Maidan as there will anyway be a small part of society that will virulently challenge Dodon. The President knew this well.”

Ion Sturza noted that Igor Dodon made a big mistake when he distanced himself from ex-Premier Maia Sandu, whom he could use as a liaison with the West. But Maia Sandu also made a mistake when she forced things and her Government was removed as a result.
