The president of the Supreme Court of Justice Ion Muruianu was dismissed by Parliament by 53 votes in favor for non-fulfillment of his duties, Info-Prim Neo reports. The proposal to discharge Ion Muruianu was included in the agenda of the July 5 sitting at the suggestion of the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu. In parallel, in a meeting this morning the Supreme Council of Magistrates also decided to propose that the legislative body should examine Ion Muruianu’s dismissal. The sitting was interrupted as the legal commission for appointments and immunities convened to approve the proposal to dismiss Ion Muruianu.
