The director of the State Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” Ion Cebanu tendered his resignation on June 3, IPN reports.

Contacted by IPN, Ion Cebanu argued that he is a team member and will go with his team. “Instead of staying at a table with the traitors, I’d better be in the opposition with my team,” he said.

Ion Cebanu was named to post on February 27 instead of Ion Lupu, who offered his resignation after the hunting incident in the Domneasca Forest. Shortly after appointed, Cebanu was dismissed by a Government decision. The Constitutional Court decided that the decision was unconstitutional and Ion Cebanu was reinstated in his post.
