IOC announces when Tokyo Olympics will be held next year

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) today announced the new dates for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in 2021, which were postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic six days ago, IPN reports.
The Tokyo Olympics will be celebrated from 23 July to 8 August 2021. Currently, Moldova has seven athletes who qualified for the Olympic Games: athletes Sergey Marghiev, Zalina Petrivskaya, Dimitriana Surdu, Lilia Fisikovici, archer Alexandra Mîrca, swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan and wrestler Anastasia Nikita.
Even if the Olympic Games take place in 2021, they will be held under the initial name of Tokyo 2020.
