The passengers will pay by 0.10 lei more per kilometer of trips by buses and minibuses running on interurban routes from November 1. The fare for a kilometer of trip is 0.48 lei.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure Irina Gasca said the Ministry was obliged by the Supreme Court of Justice to raise fares, at the request of the Carriers Association.

The Association demanded raising the fares by 0.20 lei, but a consensus was reached and the fares will be increased gradually. They will be raised by 0.10 lei per kilometer from November 1, 2013 and by another 0.10 lei per kilometer from the spring of 2015.

After the first stage of raises, the passengers who will travel by bus or minibus on a distance of 100 kilometers will pay by 10 lei more for the ticket.
