International Women’s Club of Moldova granted 5,500 dollars
International Women’s Club of Moldova (CIFM) distributed 5, 500 dollars as grants for activities for mother and child’s assistance.
The members of the Club collected the money during the Christmas Bazaar, which took place in December last year. The grants were offered to 9 organizations of Moldova, the share of every one of them being established by a jury within CIFM, which had to choose from 32 grant proposals. Grant beneficiaries became the asylum „Casa Marioarei”, non-governmental organizations “Helping Hands” of Costesti, Ialoveni, “Hope to Children” of Floresti, the Hospital of Chisinau, Tuberculosis Hospital of Vorniceni, Straseni, etc.
CIFM member Paula Kelley-Clarke noted that on 29 April 2006 the Club plans to organize at Moldexpo a charity action, called “Noaptea Artei (Art’s Night)”, where the works of 85 Moldovan painters will be exposed. 25% of the paintings’ selling will be collected in a fund destined to charitable actions. At the same time, this fund will be supplemented from 10 dollar-ticket selling.
In the last 9 years, about 70,000 dollars within the Christmas Bazaar were collected, which were distributed as grants to different beneficiaries of Moldova.
